Tuesday Tidbits #131
~~~
Welcome to the limited series, Tuesday Tidbits. A collection of quotes to provide inspiration, determination, and elevation. I hope you find something that brightens your day!
The only person I measure myself against is the man I was yesterday.
The things we have dreamed for our lives are not stolen from us by the harsh glare of reality. They are given away when we decide to stop dreaming.
My medical records report that I have no known allergies. Truth be told, I think I am allergic to bullshit. I know I always have an adverse reaction to it.
We think because we can choose one thing over another that we, in some way, control our lives. But who is deciding what choices we have?
When you are unwilling to accept any evidence to the contrary, any lie can become the truth.
It is easier to tell someone else how to live than it is to show them by example.
On the journey to become a great poet, I have learned it is more important to be a good friend.
Now get out there and write something!
while you have many truths stated above, I like the your last line the best
Thanks, Beth! You know how much I like to close strong.
I love them all, but the first and the last are my favorites. You are an amazing poet and friend, by the way! 😘😘
Awww, I bet you say that to all the guys! ♥
#1 is one of the wisest quotes I’ve come across in quite a while. As for #3, I have a suggestion for anyone who’s allergic to bullshit: listen to Trump long enough, and you may become immune to it (if that doesn’t work, there’s no cure).
I agree with your suggestion. That will either cure you or kill you. Thank you!
I suffer from that same allergy too… And yes, we are the measure of ourselves, only we must look at who we were yesterday to resume being the man of today (I think)… Great tidbits as usual my friend!
Thank you, my brother!
A pleasure, always!
I also liked your last line the best.
and you must start sneezing and wheezing every time you read one of my blog posts! 🙂
Thanks, Jim! But it is the laughter that makes my eyes water.
🙂
When I was employed and could not give employees something they wanted, I would distract them with two choices. Humans do tend to spend time deciding which alternative is best even when neither is acceptable.
The more options, the more we are distracted. You make a great point, my friend, thank you!
I think there is something in the air. There seems to be bullshit everywhere.
I cannot argue that. Thanks, Pete! Remember to take your pills.
Just you! I can’t deny there are other wonderful writers out there, but you are my favorite poet. ❤
You are so very kind with your praise. Thank you, my dear friend! ♥
