Have some say in my avatar
Or are these things chosen for us
The way they choose our stars

Something fierce and powerful
A species respected and revered
Something a bit more dangerous
Then the fluffy and rabbit-eared

An animal majestic and graceful
Like an eagle on the wing
Or a lion on the savannah
That wears the crown of king

A shark, a tiger, a grizzly bear
These predators widely feared
Or can I be a great dinosaur
Even though they disappeared

Could I be a huge red dragon
Or a fabled mythical beast
Can I be a hawk on the hunt
Or a wise old owl at least

When it was revealed to me
I learned the Gods can laugh
For they chose my spirit animal
To be the funny-looking giraffe

I guess there are worst spirit animals than the giraffe. So, if you could pick your spirit animal what would it be?
I had to give this some thought. At first I thought the owl, but I’m not sure I’m comparable to the majestic owl. Then I thought maybe an aquatic creature because I’ve always been a water baby. I’m quirky, so perhaps the narwhal?
I’m also sweet and cuddly, so I think I’m leaning towards the panda. I don’t know if I’m cute enough. I’m probably overthinking this, but I think out of the three, I’m closer to the panda.

I love giraffes with their unique look and their gentle, unruffled spirit. good one to have. mine is a deer and they always seem to appear when I’m not expecting them, and I say to myself, ‘ah, there you are, a good sign.’

lots of deer, and I even met a reindeer once who was visiting. I found that I kept buying ‘deer art’ and figured out that I’m drawn to them, so they are my special animals
Petting a giraffe is something on my bucket list! They may not look fierce, but I wouldn’t want to piss one off! I honestly can’t think of what my spirit animal should be – a koala bear appeals to me, but so does a dolphin. What would YOU pick as my spirit animal?
I think a dolphin is much more intelligent and empathetic than a Koala, so I pick dolphin. Love you, sis!

This reminds me of when my son played for a basketball team with the nickname Pandas. They’re cute for sure, but as he said at the time, how intimidating is a panda?
Too bad you can’t trade spirit animals.
I get where he is coming from. Pandas do not necessarily strike fear into the hearts of an opponent. I feel for the cheer squad too. I mean not many words rhyme with Panda. Thanks, Pete!
