Thirsty

~~~
You have resurrected the man
Saved a parched and dying land
Watered my world with wishes
In the rainfall of your kisses
~~~
Withered heart left scorched
Burnt by every carried torch
Finds, in you, the last refuge
Hope found amidst your deluge
~~~
Though some cracks remain
You are my respite in refrain
For I am the droughted plain
And your love, my blessed rain
~~~

the much needed refresher
You never learn to appreciate something more than during its absence. Thank you, my friend!
You write the most beautiful lines! 😍
Aww…you flatter me. Thanks, Kristian!
Live is like rain, my friend, blessings from Heaven. A very good and powerful poem! Loved it!
Thank you, my friend!
A pleasure my friend!
Powerful stuff, Brad. A good relationship is a combination of rain and sunshine. In other words, people always like to talk about finding things in common when not enough attention is paid to the nuances between partners that lift each other up.
You make a great point, Pete. Thank you! And Happy Birthday, young man!
sometimes a single drop of relief is all we need…
So very true. Thank you, Jim!
