My Brother’s Keeper

The greatest philosophy

Is to care for one another

Possessive by apostrophe

I, the keeper of my brother

In every act and deed confessed

No matter how seemingly small

Gift to others that they be blessed

So, all of us can stand more tall

What needs have I, in my life

That preclude a caring mind

Anonymity must not be the knife

That leaves humanity behind

For in every tear from an eye

Left alone, helpless and crying

Kept from falling, willing deny

A part of ourselves lies dying

We are one, though differences be

And there is the truth we discover

That is the definition of humanity

And I, the keeper of my brother

  1. Deeply touched, you are indeed a keeper and a caring one. And like a kind friend, a mentor, a big brother I never had. Like always your words melt my heart.
