With Each Breath

~~~
Five hundred million breaths
All it takes to see eighty years
Drawing in the oxygen that is
The oil to our body’s gears
~~~

Life held in each sweet gulp

Of the next there is little doubt

But what we are to our world

Is found in the pushing out

~~~
Exhaled words are our only means
To add depth to what people see
So, with each succulent, gifted breath
We should learn to speak carefully
~~~

An involuntary action of living

We may fill our lungs out of need

But what we blow into this world

Is what we consciously set free

~~~
    Hear, hear! We should be free to speak our minds, but careful with the delivery! Added to the list! 😁
  3. God is the breath of life, creativity and understanding… “Without a breath, without the life that I breathe in, I would be but a fragment of a dream…” Lovely work my friend. All the best and a great week (last one of the year) to you!
    Merry Christmas, Brad!
