Oh, Calliope
~~~
I have come to write
On this page so white
But the words will not seem to come
~~~
And try as I may
To find something to say
It feels like my mind has gone numb
~~~
Have I run out
Of things to tout
Have I finally reached some end
~~~
Have I said all I can
Now an empty man
With no more fine words to lend
~~~
Oh, Calliope
Please return to me
Bring me your nourishing light
~~~
For in my heart
There is still a part
Unwilling to give up the fight
~~~
I understand this feeling, my dear. However, I don’t think you have run out of words. I will never believe that you have run out of things to say. It might take longer than you hoped, but I am sure Calliope will return to you! ❤
Somebody remind her that patience is NOT my middle name. Thanks, my dear friend!
i think we all run dry with our words at times, but give them their space and they are sure to return
I am sure you are right. Thanks, Beth!
I had a moment like this last weekend. My story idea would not flesh out no matter how hard I tried. All the self-doubts swirled and sang of my end, but I took a break and a breathe and went outside. You might need an adventure 🙂
I always need an adventure. Thank you!
