Hypocrite

I hear your lovely scriptured words,
Remnants of the sermons heard…

It’s God’s Fault

The gulls sing their love on evening air,
Those loving eyes above freckled cheek…

The Unbeliever’s Prayer

Listen, I know it has been awhile since we talked,
I have long believed you are not there to hear me…

Faith Knows Not Fear

We fear our own demise,
The closing of our eyes,
A world that fades away,
The dying of our last day.

It’s God’s Fault

The gulls sing their love on evening air,
Those loving eyes above freckled cheek…

Repentant Stare

Our sullied sins, the less known,
An echoed demonic baritone…

A Prodigal Prayer

I am praying for them, not for myself,
What could my faith have possibly earned…

One God, One Love

No matter whom your chosen Lord,
Or what gifts in death be reward,
Whatever path your faith has trod,
What word and face you use for God.

Godless

And where you see the world as work of Great hands,
Intrinsic and intertwined Mother Nature,
Seems to move ahead with her own set of plans,
Not needing a higher-powered kind favor.
