Of course, there is still great bigotry,
We have hated throughout our history.

Lightyears Away

Ancient history is left to be seen,
And all that time can offer to see…

The History of Truth

To the victor is left the history,
Triumphant words recorded…

The Five Civilized Tribes

The Creek and Chickasaw,
Ill-fated Seminole,
Cherokee and Choctaw,
Never again made whole.

Totem

Of their cherished ancestry,
Cursed oppression through history,
Colored and grained tapestry

Friday’s Phrase – An Introduction

The phrase will need to meet one standard. It needs to be a readily recognized phrase for most people for whom English is their native tongue.
