The Man I See

There in the mirror, a life defined,
Written in every crevice and line

Fallow Field

Our minds are like the fallow field,
Overgrown when left on their own…

Forward

In hopes left from what will,
Pain comes from the knowing…

Shipwreck

There, broken upon the sandy shoals,
A wooden sailing ship, once so brave…

New Man

Would you still see who I used to be,
For, since then, I surely did grow…

Old Residence

From the curb the house looks so familiar,
The front door a different color,
And the hedges now more fully grown…

Old Bridge

A patina to its painted finish
Bleeding rust drips like long years
Appearance cannot diminish
Steadfast strength of sunken piers
