The Passing Day

The symphony of cricket and cicada begins,
As streetlamps wake to a warming glow…

We The People

There is greater understanding now,
A global view of connections…

Brainstorm

A synaptic wind blows,
Through the empty spaces,
Shoving clouds across mind’s sky,
Like a playground bully.

Old Residence

From the curb the house looks so familiar,
The front door a different color,
And the hedges now more fully grown…

Sometimes

Sometimes,
The tear drop falls,
An unseen pain.

My Love Remains

For my love remains,
Weathered but untethered,
Beaten, but yet unbowed,
Saved as if some treasure,
And buried just as deep.

Pine Box

Do not send me off this way,
With tears and woeful cries,
Let me think that my last day,
Will be seen through happy eyes.

“A”, “E”, “I”, “O”, “U”, and “Y”,
Find in each word their alibi.
