This Life

Kings and countries come and go,
From pauper to prince, I’ve been…

Whispers

A thousand words said a picture’s worth,
But these do not speak to me at all,
Wonderous world of the moment seen,
Unrevealed by the thin and small…

You Are…

A shadow in the dark,
A fire without spark…

Whittled Words – Monotetra Poem

Personally, I like the rhyme scheme and the repetitive final line of each stanza. I also appreciate the flexibility of this form in terms of how long or short the poem can be.

How Will You Know?

Your hands will never touch,
All the things I feel…

She Did Not Know

For when the axe-man came,
Her beauty was to blame…

Woman

To the pretty girls, running slow,
Who let us steal playground kisses…

Forever Found

I have sought a thousand lifetimes,
In the seconds that are you…

Witchy Woman

Wicked woven in midnight trance,
A magic called by Shaman’s dance…

Whittled Words – Cyrch A Chwta Poem

As you might guess from the name, Cyrch A Chwta is a Welsh poetic form. And like many Welsh forms, this poem involves both end rhymes and internal (or cross) rhymes.
