White

In Reply

I have stayed silent,
When I should have spoke…

Pronouns

What makes “you” and “me”,
Become the pronoun “we”…

Someone’s Little Girl

Tears fall like liquid diamonds,
Into the palms of dirty hands…

Proud Son

But it is hard to grow in your shade,
Privy to the mistakes you made…

Is to care for one another,
Possessive by apostrophe,

You hang a sheepskin,
And I sport tattoos,
You dress to win,
I wear jeans of blue…

What Do We Do?

What do we do?
When life has lost its sweetness,
When the cheese,
Is not at the end of the maze…

When Darkness Falls

It is like drowning in the night,
Ebony shades pulled against right…

Bound By Honor

The red ink of history written,
Drips long from the blades of man…
