Red Mud

They did not contemplate,
That it would be this night…

Tears in the Sand

If amidst the dry and sandy sea,
They could sit right across from me,
Would we still kill one another,
Or would we have seen a brother.

All This

Bed chamber romances,
With kingdoms at stake,
Lost in stolen glances…

Decorated

We wear the medals with pride,
Fruit salad served on our chest…

Rest

I told you everything would be okay,
And we both knew that was untrue…

Empty Hands

Reason born by enlightenment,
Tethered to an instinctual animal…

Someone’s Little Girl

Tears fall like liquid diamonds,
Into the palms of dirty hands…

Knowing

I have more in common with a murderer than a minister,
As the red, white, and blue wraps around the sinister…
