Inside – Published on Spillwords Press!

I am happy to announce that the strict form poem, titled ‘Inside’, was accepted for publication and will be featured on their web site.

Old Words

Daily the grind
To find the words
To pen the line
As yet unheard

Got Time?

No longer can I just sit and write whenever I want, patiently waiting and then scratching the itch like crazy as soon as it appears.

Just One Question

Now, I wonder if the unsolicited advertising makes a difference to my readers.

The Wee Hours

It’s dark. The only light, the fluorescent glow of the screen. Like a campfire, it cannot reach past where I sit.

Just Self Expression?

Prior to a recent event, if asked, I would have said that I write solely as a form of expression. That my words flow out seeking nothing more than release. That I was not interested in who, or how many, would ever read the words.

Why Write At All?

A diametric view of why we write at all…

Too Nice?

Maybe, as we are all artists, we are acutely aware of being critical about other’s art. We know that beauty lies along many paths and has many faces. We know what criticism can feel like when it applies to something you have birthed from your whole being. We know the subjectivity that lies at the heart of any judgement.
