Conjured Love

I cannot quite explain it

Logic will not contain it

These things that I feel

Seemingly somehow real

But how could this be true

When I hardly know you

Your words in lovely ink

Photo that does not blink

Those lips are left un-kissed

A closeness that is missed

For in your thoughts is found

My wanted holy ground

Absence does not dispel

Found heart that loves so well

And I think that I would cry

If I looked into those eyes

Though we have never met

I cannot quite forget

The beauty of your mind

So hard a thing to find

For I have seen deeper things

A razor wit, a soul that sings

Could you find the same in me

When distance denies destiny

Can I fall in love from here

Never having held you near

Or is this all just fantasy

Conjured love I wish would be

  1. Take it from my experience – it’s easy to fall in love if someone is who we think they are, but words on a screen will always be what we choose to put forward at our best and never who the person behind them truly is. I’ve fallen ‘in love with who I think you are’ more than once, but always come to find out that a person is never going to be our mind’s concept of who we want them to be. Enjoy the wonder of another’s words nonetheless.

it may be easier to fall in love with the idea of someone vs the reality.

your title reminded me of the song “Tainted Love”…

The idea of love? Is that really love? Hmm…yes! I think so! Good work my friend!

The problem with online relationships is that one never knows if they’re dealing with something real or an illusion.

I suppose this is where tryst comes into play, but the hopless romantic in me believes what is meant to be will always find its way.

Beautiful words as always, Brad! 😍 *Swoon*

Dearest Brad I think this is such a gorgeous poem. Romantic love is a beautiful thing and one never really forgets it.

Your verses are so lovely an Ode to “Romantic Love.” I think as long as two people have faith and truth anything is possible.

Sending my love and big warm southern hugs. Jonikins ❤️🤗

Thank you Jonikins! 42 degrees this morning so those warm hugs are much appreciated! Sending love in return.

That is a bit chilly. I enjoy scarves and hat wearing weather. It is still hot here in the afternoon. So I am sending a hot air balloon filled with warm southern hugs, a years worth. I have always been a hugger and I have boxes of hugs that couldn’t be shared for the last year. So this should help you save on wood too. Love ❤️ Jonikins
