A Sister’s Hug

~~~
Today is the day
That I am gifted
And holding you close
My spirit is lifted
~~~

The distance between

Is suddenly gone

Holding you now

I just want to hang on

~~~
You are one in a billion
This was always true
You are my heart
And I, a part of you
~~~

Though I call you sister

That is not where love ends

You are much more than that

You are family and friend

~~~
As our arms embrace
There is something you should know
Distance is only space
And I am never letting go
~~~

Even when life is hard

And the trials very real

It is this hug right now

That I will always feel

~~~
    what a sweet note to your sister –
  2. What you give out in your hugs is still, and will always be, more than you get! I know how truly blessed we are to have a sibling relationship that goes as deep as ours does; not everyone has that kind of relationship with his/her sibling(s). My life is always set back to center when I’m in one of your hugs, and with that hug, I find the energy to carry on. I love you, more than I can ever quantify in words, no matter how eloquent they are. Thank you for this wonderful tribute!
    I am inspired by many of the words that you and your sister share. There are some secrets and bonds that only siblings can feel together.
    Such a sweet way to honor your sister. I have a very deep sibling bond with my older brother, so I relate. I really enjoy reading the bond between you two. I’m glad you have each other. ❤❤
