Unspoken
~~~
Life falls upon me
Like seconds dripping from a clock
The steady tapping metronome
I am stretched, pulled hard
In the elongated moments
The silence between each drop
Becomes an unlived lifetime
Fade memories of red and blue
Mix to a purplish haze
Awash in the forgotten days
Where the sands of time
Erase the traces of where I have been
The past struck blind in folly
The taste of wishes and want to be’s
Turn stale and crumble in decay
Blown in the winds of yesterdays
I am written in the ancient runes
Of a language no longer spoken
~~~
A language no longer spoken… Is there really such a thing? Who knows the language of the heart and of the mind. Smashing good work my brother!
Thank you my dear friend! Cheers!
Always a pleasure my friend!
that’s the beauty of putting your thoughts into writing; they don’t fade away…

oh, this is such a beautiful poem –
This is so lovely and causes one to think about how one looks back upon what has been accomplished. Those last lines were perfect for the ending of this piece, I just really enjoyed it. Thanks Brad, Sending love, lots of hugs and blessings. xoxoxox Joni
