Some Rain Must Fall
The sorrows and sins of our lives fall like rain
When cloudy skies and fate darken ahead
Some drops full of sadness, others filled with pain
Tribulations and trials in the tears weโve shed
From a brief summer drizzle of malaise
And long showers that bring drenching downpour
To torrential hurricanes that last for days
Each holding its own tragedy in store
We cannot choose our days filled with sunny rays
Nor when cloud and gloom will shadow our head
We have no control of when life frets and frays
Sun succumbs to passing showers instead
And when those rains of life fall so hauntingly
The sun beyond the clouds still shines and know
That, when dark skies part, you will repeated see
The love of the sun and lifeโs beautiful glow
Yes absolutely throughout our life we face pain , sorrow which bring our tears but that is not the end , after overcome all the new sun waits for us. Well written ๐๐ thank you very much ๐โบ๏ธโบ๏ธ

such a hopeful poem – thank you
Thanks Beth! I appreciate you!
Hope is the last thing we should ever lose…lovely poem Brad.
Thank you, my dear friend!
Always a pleasure my friend!
I like the occasional rainy day, and part of the reason may be, as you point out, that sunny days are ahead…
If it wasn’t for the rain, I would never get anything done at home….๐
quite true on my end as well… ๐
A toast to sunny days ahead!
Here! Here! Cheers!
We had rain for the first time in two months last week. What a cause for celebration! The wildfires are finally getting under control. It’s remarkable how different it can be from one part of the country to another.
I am glad to hear the wildfires are coming under control. With as many as we have, I am a little surprised we are not much better at containing them. Stay safe and less dry!
This is one of those amazing pieces that you write Brad where I just read it a couple of times and say wow. I love the honesty and the wisdom. The joyous and hopeful way you end this piece I just love. Great stuff my talented poet friend. I am sending lots of love and hugs your way tonight. Love Jonikens
You are too kind, my friend. Love to you, Jonikins!
I needed this reminder. Thank you!
My pleasure, my friend!
