Good Morning, Starshine
The dawn sun cracks the horizon
Whispers words to wake the world
Our sleeping ears refuse to hear
Snuggling deeper in blankets curled
But bid she does, that you would wake
And receive her blessed day
Revel in the light she doth bring
Before the passing of her ray
These gifts not seen for their worth
For tomorrow we easily surmise
Will turn the earth about once more
And grant us another sunrise
They happen just like clockwork
But not a one is eβer promised
We must use this gift that is given
Lest the next be one that is missed
So, whisper back her kind hello
And greet her in a thankful way
Go out and make the most of life
Just in case this is the last day
It’s a great gift indeed. Here’s to making the most of it
Thank you, Shweta! I hope your days are always filled with love and happiness!

Life is a wonderful gift indeed!! Love this one too!! I’m not sure I could ever choose a favorite, I love them all so much!!
You are too kind! Sending hugs and best wishes to you both!
Brad this is so very true and also something we should never take for granted and yet I don’t wake up every morning and immediately feel grateful like I should, I try to be grateful every day but don’t succeed.
“But bid she does, that you would wake
And receive her blessed day
Revel in the light she doth bring
Before the passing of her ray”
The above is just so beautiful. I really enjoyed this poem and it was a reminder I needed this week particularly, so thanks Brad for reminding me to be grateful every single day! Gorgeous poem Brad. You have a blessed and wonderful day full of love and gratefulness. Sending lots of extra hugs and love today. Jonikins
Thank you, Jonikins! You are so very kind and thoughtful with your words. I am glad it spoke to you in some way. Sending hugs and love in return! π

“Go out and make the most of life
Just in case this is the last day”
In case this is my last day I am going to read one of your poems and then ask you to let me ride your bike right into the dawn. Will you let me do it?
Of course I would let you do it. But I do have a suggestion. Rather than read a poem of mine, write another one of yours. There are never enough of your beautiful words! Thanks for all the love! π
Beautiful Brad! Be grateful every day for that day, that is all we can aspire to, tomorrow one never knows if it will come, yet, we are such optimists that we set the alarm clock! Humans! Great work my friend!
Thank you, my dear friend! I love your comment about setting an alarm clock…π We are eternal optimists!
As so we should be, always a positive thought and attitude are crucial my friend.
Nice! It is good to not take tomorrow for granted. Embrace the day that you have.
Thank you for your kind words and support!
