Polished

~~~
You have a Jaguar body
With a Pinto heart
Beautiful lines
But hard to start
~~~

Flashy in chrome

Beauty in the show

Classic racing lines

But love much too slow

~~~
Garage kept
Never touches soil
You wash it everyday
But never change the oil
~~~

You rarely purr

You just buck and bark

Carbon-fouled plugs

Providing little spark

~~~
You hide behind
The polish and wax
To shine away
The engine you lack
~~~

I need something more

Something beyond the glow

It is less about the looks

And more about the go

~~~
    this one is so cheeky and great!
  2. HA! What a great way to call out all of those who believe it’s all about how they look on the outside and not who they are on the inside! Men, read this and take heed!
    That first stanza kills me. 😁
    A great poem to all those “plastic” people…especially females but not limited to…that think they are the centre of the bloody universe! Love it! All the best my friend!
    Fabulous!! If only more people were taken by what’s within rather than the pretty exterior. So well said!! 👏👏
    it’s what’s on the inside that counts…
