You, no need to see the years walked away

I can’t hold back the tears that beg you stay

I’ll still be without you when it’s said and done

I’ll have lost another battle, because you won

My life never the same now that you are gone

Embarrassed to be left here, just hanging on

Don’t say another word in that tragic tone

Don’t worry about me, I will be okay alone

Losing you has been the heart’s greatest blow

But I cannot afford to let those feelings show

No joy can be found in what you may see

Though I still stand there, I am barely me

Don’t look back

This is where the only bridge has been burned

This is where loving lessons hurtful learned
